Pursuant to Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Resolution No. 79 series of 2020 dated 15 October 2020, travel restriction imposed to non-essential outbound travel of Filipinos is hereby lifted, EFFECTIVE 21 OCTOBER 2020. click here

Republic Act No. 1745 - An act declaring October 20 of every year a Special Holiday in the province of Leyte where BI Tacloban District Office is located. Hence, the office will be closed.

The public is advised that the Bureau of Immigration will suspend transactions today, 28th September 2020 from 3:00 pm onwards pursuant of Memorandum Circular No. 80 from the Office of the President and Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992) declaring the last week of September every year as Family Week.
However, Offices compromising the Operations Cluster must carry out and accomplish all their transactions.

BI-Accreditation renewal applicants may claim the appropriate accreditation order at room 210, BI-Accreditation Unit.
Successful applicants may claim their new BI-Accreditation ID's subject to the submission of: (1) Old BI-Accreditation ID; (2) Medical Certificate (COVID-19 test results) for the month of August.
In view of the recent developments, the deadline for claiming new BI-Accreditation ID's is hereby reset to August 31, 2020. Starting September 01, 2020, old BI-Accreditation ID's shall not be honored in any transactions with the Bureau of Immigration.

On 17 August 2020, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 64 placed the National Capital Region, and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal under General Community Quarantine.
In this regard and in compliance to the directive to observe minimum health standards and social distancing measures, the previous suspension of BI transactions is hereby lifted in the affected offices. The Bureau of Immigration will begin to accept the filing of transactions on 19 August 2020. click here

In view of the proliferation of COVID-19 cases in the country and as a precautionary measure to deter the further spread of the virus, NOTICE is hereby given to ALL BI OFFCIALS, EMPLOYEES and CLIENTS that the BI Main Office shall be TEMPORARILY CLOSED for the rigorous sanitation and disinfection starting MONDAY, 08 JUNE 2020 until further notice.
Confirmed Online Appointment of clients shall be rescheduled once operations resume. Clients are advised to check the BI website at immigration.gov.ph or any of our social media accounts for further announcement/ advisory.
The Bureau encourages all officials and employees to stay home during the said period. Skeletal Workforce Arrangement shall remain in effect for offices such as General Services Section, Property Section (Logistics), BI National Operations Center (BINOC), Management Information Systems Division (MISD) and other offices rendering essential and critical support.

TEMPORARY TRAVEL BAN ADVISORY

All foreign nationals who will be coming from the People's Republic of China and its Special Administrative Regions (Hong Kong, Macau), and those who within 14 days immediately preceding arrival, have been to the affected areas.
Except for foreign nationals with Philippine permanent resident visa.
Filipinos and permanent resident visa holders will be allowed entry subject to the assessment and a 14 day quarantine to be implemented by the Bureau of Immigration.
Filipinos travelling to the People's Republic of China and its Administrative Regions.
Including Overseas Filipino Workers and permanent resident visa holders.
