VISION

In order to harmonize the Bureau's vision with President Benigno S. Aquino III's Social Contact with the Filipino People and the Sixteen-Point Agenda adopted by the Department of Justice, we framed a new vision for the Bureau of Immigration.

We envisioned the Bureau as a dynamic and progressive institution of highly trained, dedicated and honest public servants providing excellent immigration services while ensuring national security and economic development.

MANDATE

The Bureau administers and enforces the immigration, citizenship and alien registration laws of the Philippines. It also plays a role in the enforcement of RA 9208 also known as the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Acts of 2003.

To realize this mandate, we established the following as our goals and objectives:

  2. To provide Comprehensive documentation of foreign nationals to acquire complete immigration records of aliens, being the chief repository of the same;
